MISSION STATEMENT

 

DELMARVA FISHERIES ASSOCIATION, Inc. (DFA) is a 501 (c)(6) fisheries trade association, in affiliation with the Southeastern Fisheries Association (SFA), established to protect, defend and enhance the commercial fishing industry in the DelMarVa region of the United States for present participants as well as future generations through all legal means while maintaining healthy and sustainable stocks of fish.

DFA is committed to working tirelessly on behalf of its members in a fair and honest manner, in full compliance with all laws and regulations.

DFA serves as a vehicle for solving problems related to the seafood industry in the DelMarVa region of the USA.

DFA emphasizes cooperation and a commitment to protecting the natural water resources of the world.

DFA supports honest policies at all levels of government – local, state and federal – using science-based conservation and management in accord with the Rule of Law.

DFA pledges to work with any group committed to the rejuvenation, economic stability and growth of the fisheries in the DelMarVa region. DFA invites anyone with comparable interests to reach out and develop a dialogue. DFA pledges to work with other groups for the good of the fisheries in a cordial and professional manner.
