DFA Requests Extension of Oyster Season
The extreme cold weather over the last month caused many oyster harvesters to lose valuable time on the water, affecting their ability to meet their target haul. With that in mind, DFA Chairman Rob Newberry sent a letter to Secretary Belton of the MD Dept. of Natural Resources, urging a two-week extension of this season. We’ll keep you posted on the result!
