EPA Awards $6M in Chesapeake Bay Grants
Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) announced Tuesday that the state of Maryland will receive $695,940 from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Chesapeake Bay Program to reduce nutrient runoff in the bay watershed.
The grant to Maryland is part of a $6 million allocation to states from the Bay Program to address agricultural nutrient runoff. A breakdown of state allocations is below:
- Pennsylvania: $3,695,112
- Virginia: $1,110,191
- Maryland: $695,940
- Delaware: $364,540
- New York: $79,536
- West Virginia: $54,681
