Food trades representatives of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior met in New York recently to formulate plans to assist Chesapeake Bay crabbers market a catch which is forecast to be the heaviest in 98 years. The two federal agencies will work closely with seafood associations on a consumer education campaign designed to stimulate retail interest so that it will balance with market supplies.
