Agenda

1.  Getting Started: Order of the Day and Introductions (6:00 p.m. – 6:10 p.m.)

Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Secretary, will kick-off the meeting, take attendance, outline the objectives for the meeting and ask for approval of the past meeting minutes.

2.   Ever Forward (6:10 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.)

  Heather Nelson and Chris Judy, Maryland Department of Environment and Department of Natural Resources, will present            an update on the grounding of the EverForward and oyster survey results of the Natural Oyster Bar 4-2.

3. Eastern Bay (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)

   Laurinda Serafin, Shellfish Division, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, will present a preliminary bottom analysis of Eastern Bay outlining potential suitable acres for restoration and replenishment and proposed timeline for restoration and replenishment plantings.

4. 2021-2022 Harvest Summary (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)

   Jodi Baxter, Shellfish Division, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, will present an overview of the harvest summary for the 2021-2022 season.

5. Proposed 2022-2023 Harvest Limits (7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)

   Chris Judy, Shellfish Division, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, will present the department’s proposed harvest limits for the upcoming 2022-2023 season and solicit feedback from commissioners.

6. Draft Oyster Fishery Management Plan Amendment (8:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.)

   Jodi Baxter, Shellfish Division, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, will present an overview of the draft amendment to the 2019 Oyster Management Plan. The amendment includes the OAC package of consensus recommendations. Soliciting feedback on the amendment from commissioners by July 5, 2022.

   New business topics from commissioners and public comment.
